Born and raised in the mountains of Northern New Mexico, Peter has always found solace and inspiration in the mountains and rocks of the American West. His work is a meeting point. The intersection of a passion for climbing and a desire to create. Peter aims to create beauty in my artwork and share his joy through his jewelry.
Peter grew up creating, working the summers for master goldsmith Phil Poirier, before studying physics and photography in college. While working as a machinist for Bonny Doon Hydraulic Presses, he rediscovered metalworking. Along with the inspiration of climbing, he has found a new voice and joy in his artwork. He blends age-old techniques with modern materials and computer technologies.
